Executive Council
"Executive Council” means the apex decision-making body of the CLT, composed of all elected office bearers, namely the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary General, Secretary, and Treasurer. It shall exercise full power on behalf of the Association and is elected by the general body of CLT. The proposals and resolutions of the Governing Body shall be discussed in the Executive Council and adopted if approved by the majority of the members thereof.
The Executive Council serves as the driving force of the CLT. Composed of elected representatives, it is the apex decision-making body, and authority on policy execution, and the advancement of the association’s strategic objectives. The Executive Council possesses the authority to review decisions made by the Governing Body to verify their compliance with established legal and procedural standards. All the decisions, proposals and resolutions of the Governing Body shall be examined and approved by the Executive Council. Its operational authority facilitates prompt responses to emerging challenges, ranging from the negotiation of collective agreements to the mobilization of resources for member support. The Executive Council is the highest decision-making body of the elected office-bearers namely, the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary General, Secretary, and Treasurer.
